Work groups

The Research Incubator supports a number of research work groups that encourage and facilitate collaborative cross-disciplinary research, develop junior faculty into well-trained researchers and promote scholarly activity in the topic areas. Each group is comprised of junior and senior investigators from a variety of disciplines interested in working together on a specific research topic.

Current research work groups include:

  • Caffeine, other substances of abuse and gender
  • Exercise, nutrition, substance abuse and gender
  • Integration of substance abuse and hospital-based care
  • Screening, brief intervention and referral treatment in substance abuse
  • Prescription drug abuse and chronic pain
